Vitamin Nutrition
Vitamin Nutrition Information
There seems to be a lot of confusion out there about proper
vitamin nutrition. There seem to be vitamins for just about
everything, but do you know what you need to take and what might
actually do you harm? A friend of my husband recently had to go to
the doctor because he was having problems with his kidneys. As it
turned out, it was because he was taking too many vitamins and his
body was not responding well.
Unlike food calories, the body can not store vitaminnutrition
for a later date. It uses what comes in and the kidneys and liver
must get rid of the rest of it. If you are taking too many
vitamins, you may end up with the same problem. An overworked liver
is never happy. When it can not get rid of the excess, it begins to
back up and your body will slowly fill with what it considers to be
toxins. That may not sound right, because most don’t think of
vitamins are toxins, but in excess, they can be. If you drink on
top of that, your liver and your kidneys are not going to be able
to function properly.
Vitamin Nutrition Facts
What some don’t know is that the vitaminnutrition you need each
day is rarely more than what one supplement will give you. Some eat
well enough that they don’t need to take that at all. They get all
they need from foods. However, some think they should be taking in
vitamin nutrition for many things, and they take too many pills
each day. Vitamins might seem harmless, but they can do more damage
than a person might suspect. Choosing a well-rounded multivitamin
is all that most need to do unless otherwise instructed by their
doctor.
Some like to take a vitamin for hair and nails, and others take
them for things like healthy skin or for more energy. Those
specialized vitamins are
often too much, and unless a doctor says to take them, put them
back on the shelf. A good multi will take care of all of those
needs at once. Many are confused about vitamin nutrition, and
because these are free to buy anywhere, that is something that is
bound to continue to happen. If you are concerned, you should talk
to your doctor before you decide if you need to take in more
vitamin nutrition or if perhaps you might even want to cut
back.
